Why We Began
When Joan Wilams Lewis died in 2016, there was no funeral, memorial service, or other gathering to commemorate her life . The producers, who were also her students at Clark Atlanta University, felt they owed it to her to celebrate the life she lived and the impact she made. Joan touched countless lives, and the legacy she left behind deserves to be remembered. Please join the producers by sharing your story or contributing resources that can help bring her story to life as a full-length documentary—one that honors her life, her legacy, and the lasting impact she made.
